Marriage of Surfaces

2023 - bronze like patinated ceramic on a black african granite base
Dimensions with base: h 25 × 12 × 12 cm
What happens when two surfaces meet? and when they join? this is an exercise where I try to understand where volumes are born, what corners and edges represent for us and when we perceive volumes as separate or joined

Desert Rose

2023 - ceramic on a rough marble base
Dimensions with base: h 30 x 15 x 15 cm
How do we perceive volumes? How do we interpret concavities and convexities? How much can you remove before a volume is no longer a volume? This is a continuation of the previous theme but with organic shapes, with a white uncoated surface you can leave space for the play of light on these soft shapes that cast shadows and reflections on themselves

Study of Crystalline Volumes

2024 - bronze-like glazed ceramic
Dimensions with base: h 20 x 15 x 15 cm
It is part of a journey focused on research into complex volumes, the interconnections generated by the interpenetration of the volumes themselves, and the visual continuity that transcends superficial interruptions.
This is complemented by further study of material rendering through experimentation with enamels and crystalline, aimed at achieving an aesthetic more consistent with the desired sensations.

Soft Volumes Study

2023 - glazed ceramic
Dimensions with base: h 20 x 20 x 20 cm
It is part of a path linked to the research of volumes characterised by predominantly convex surfaces, of the human perception of volumes on an abstract basis and of the perception of separation of the same based on the observer's point of view.

Study of Lively Forms in Space

2024 - ceramic
dimensions: 20 x 25 cm
It's part of a research project aimed at creating a wooden bas-relief, not as a form to be copied, but as a necessary exploration to understand how concave and convex shapes shift space and which are best suited to carving in wood. This version is the densest and most lively, with an intensity reminiscent of wave motion.

Study of spatial motor forms

2024 - patinated ceramic
dimensions: 38 x 40 cm
It's part of a research project aimed at creating a wooden bas-relief, not as a form to be copied, but as a necessary exploration to understand how concave and convex shapes shift space and which are best suited to being carved in wood. This version is the least dense, but the more voluminous shapes create a significant movement in the surrounding space.

Vase study of raku

2024 - raku ceramic
dimensions with plant: h 20 x 22 x 26
One of the first two vases designed to study the interaction between nature and sculpture, this one in particular serves a dual function, as it was one of the first approaches to the raku technique, in addition the two separate bowls allow for an unusual freedom and restriction compared to more "traditional" vases.

Vase study of engobes

2024 - ceramic and engobes
dimensions with plant: h 38 x 18 x 22
One of the first two vases designed to study the interaction between nature and sculpture, here I also experimented with engobes to obtain pleasant shades of colour that outlined the two faces of the work.
