The Hug

Sometimes sculpture does not consist in impressing one's own will, sometimes it consists in discovering what is hidden inside the rock, letting one's emotions act as a filter through which to look at the world.
This is a warm, soft sculpture, where the organic forms are accentuated by a satin surface that if it were shiny would be cold and hard.
The embrace is free to interpretation, whether it is familiar or passionate, a maternity or a sensuality, the key to understanding is in the hands of the observer.
